About the author

Meet Melissa

Hi, I’m Melissa — an aspiring writer who loves all the swoony, trope‑filled romance of today’s book world, but with an infusion of faith and a dash of hijinks. I don’t believe a life with God is a guaranteed easy street, and my stories don’t pretend it is. Instead, I write about flawed, hurting, messy human characters who need Jesus just as much as the rest of us.

My books blend modern romance vibes with honest emotional depth, tackling real‑life struggles, hard questions, and the kind of healing we’re all striving for. If you’re looking for stories that feel current, fun, and full of hope — without the spice — you’re in the right place.

Happily married for almost fifteen years, I live in the way‑too‑warm Carolinas with my family. When I’m not writing, I’m raising daredevil boys, baking something sweet, or listening to audiobooks while I reorganize the pantry. Long‑time fan of Harry Potter, 90s country, Coke Zero, and the Bible.

Writing Verses

Proverbs 16:24 Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones

I choose to write clean romance rooted in a Christian worldview because I want my stories to feel like sweetness to the soul—gentle, hopeful, and written with care for the heart. This doesn’t mean I’m shying away from tough topics. Grief, heartbreak, addiction, broken marriages, infertility…you’re going to find these in my stories. But you’ll also see my characters reach for the Light.

Psalm 81:16 But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.

I’ve learned that when everything runs dry—my strength, my resources, the world’s answers—God does not. He has been faithful in every season. That trust is what carries me into this writing journey, for His glory. Reading for escapism is valid. I do it too! I’m hoping to show my readers a way to escape into the arms of Jesus.
